Paths in out countryside are being surrounded by high walls, turning these lanes into veritable tunnels and stopping the public from enjoying the scenery on either side. These high walls not only ruin the view for the public but are also, more often than not, there to provide cover for the carrying our of illegal works on the other side. The maximum height of a countryside wall is of 1.2m from the level of the soil. You are urged to report any high walls to the Ramblers’ Association by providing photos and the exact location of the wall.
